Kenya: NSE20 +0.86, USD 7.4m

Turnover was down 32% from previous day, with Safaricom (1.0%, KES23.75) and Kenol Kobil (+2.3%, KES15.30) accounting for 66% of total market turnover. Foreign participation in the market was up to 68% from 53%

Mauritius: Semdex unch, USD 460k

Activity slowed down rather drastically today with some small action in Terra (-1.5%, Rs32.00), MCBG (+0.1%, Rs266.56) and ENL (0.7%, Rs28.50) the only names showing any form of life.

Nigeria: ASI +0.17%, USD 12.5m

The market closed up today with all indices up bar the Oil & Gas index, which was brought lower by Mobil (-3.6%). The major trade on the day was a 30m cross in Guaranty (+2.6%) at 40.
